In her application to officially alter her name and gender, Elon Musk’s transgender daughter stated that she no longer wanted to “be tied to my biological father in any way, shape, or form.”
The 18-year-old has requested the name Vivian Jenna Wilson and to be acknowledged as a woman.
Xavier Alexander Musk was her given name.
The Los Angeles County Superior Court in Santa Monica received the petition for both a name change and a new birth certificate.
In court records submitted in April that have just lately come to light, her request is outlined.
There was no additional information regarding the alleged conflict between Mr. Musk’s daughter and her father.
The Tesla and SpaceX businessman is still silent.
From 2000 until their divorce in 2008, Mr. Musk was wed to Canadian author Justine Wilson, the mother of Vivian.
Nevada, their first child, passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) at the age of 10 weeks in 2002.
The couple later had triplet boys named Damian, Kai, and Saxon in addition to twin sons named Xavier and Griffin.
He has two further children with singer Grimes, with whom he has had an on-off relationship, named X A-Xii and Exa Dark Siderael (also known as Y).
Despite their father’s popularity, his children have maintained a modest profile.
The businessman tweeted on Father’s Day saying he adores all of his kids.
Mr. Musk has not made any remarks regarding his daughter’s choice to cut ties with him.
He has spoken out on a number of transgender topics and has been accused of being anti-gay in multiple disputes. He protested that people were using their own pronouns last year.
A month prior to openly endorsing the Republican Party after previously voting Democrat, he submitted the court paperwork for his daughter’s name and gender transition.
Additionally, he has declared support for Ron DeSantis, the Republican governor of Florida who put out the “Don’t Say Gay” legislation. This contentious rule prohibits schools from instructing pupils on sexual orientation and gender issues, and exposes instructors to legal action should they disobey.
Elon Musk tweeted “Pronouns stink” in 2020 before erasing it. “I completely support trans people, but all these pronouns are an aesthetic disaster,” he continued.
