Over the weekend, composer Danny Elfman performed an unconventional presentation at Coachella, including the “Simpsons” theme and a song from “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
Tracks from his new solo album “Big Mess,” music from films he’s written, and a few Oingo Boingo classics were also performed for the audience.
Elfman had promised concertgoers a “weird little spectacle” that would feature him shirtless and accompanied by a full symphony orchestra.
“Insects” (Oingo Boingo), “Spider-Man Main Title”, “Nothing To Fear (But Fear Itself)” (Oingo Boingo), “Just Another Day” (Oingo Boingo), “Breakfast Machine” (from Pee-Big Wee’s Adventure), “Kick Me”, “The Batman Theme”, “Ice Dance / The Grand Finale” (from Pee-Big Wee’s Adventure), “Kick Me (from “Edward Scissorhands”).
Tim Burton’s planned Wednesday Addams Netflix series, “Wednesday,” will feature Elfman as the composer.
